    Travel in Tallinn

As many of the guests come to Tallinn earlier, I have prepared a small guide to Tallinn. Generally I recommend people to stay in the Old town, as there is more than enough to do there. See the town-wall, which can be climbed by stairs from the same side as the Skåne Hotel. Besides Skåne Hotel there is an old soviet market; while shabby, still interesting to see and some great memorabilia can be bought there.

Some funny info about Estonia, and some true info.

    Restaurants

Try bear meat, mead and other medieval dishes at Olde Hansa medieval restaurant.

A lot of Russian specialities at Troika. Try some Vodka (Nemiroff Birch) and bear strogonoff.

Garlic restaurant Balthasar offers ice cream with garlic, a must try!

All of the restaurants are situated at the town square (Rådhusplassen).

    Here are some café's:

Meistrite Hoov is a cosy place with retro look

Valli Baar is even more retro and artistic. Locals recommend the following drinks: Millimallikas and Läänemeri

    Spa

This spa is situated just outside of Tallinn, 15 minutes by car. Although far, the prices are better and service good. Besides, that is where Villu grew up as a child. Remember to order in good time.

    Shopping malls

Kristiine Keskus is situated at the far edge of the town. More central mall is the Viru Keskus, just outside the gates of the old town.

    Clubs

Prive is a small but good club.

Hollywood is central and quite big, situated in an old movie theatre.

Remember, most of Estonia is on-line!
